Tokyo Japanese Steakhouse & Sushi Bar in downtown Corvallis offers a spot where both sushi fans and hibachi enthusiasts can settle in comfortably. It’s a full-service Japanese restaurant that blends the lively energy of teppanyaki grilling with an extensive sushi menu, making it a versatile choice whether you’re after a casual lunch or an interactive dinner experience.

The atmosphere shifts depending on your seating choice: sitting at the hibachi grill tables feels like attending a small performance, with chefs preparing your meal right before your eyes, adding an engaging, communal vibe to the evening. For those focused on sushi, the bar area offers a quieter, more typical dining experience, with an assortment of rolls and sashimi that appeal to a variety of tastes.

The menu covers the familiar staples alongside some local favorites like the Corvallis Roll and The 541 Roll, dishes that locals have come to appreciate for their balance of flavor and value. Lunch visitors might gravitate towards reasonably priced bento boxes or lighter options like onion soup and edamame to start, while dinner often opens the door to more elaborate orders including lobster and spicy rolls or the steak fried rice.

Locals seem to appreciate the fair pricing compared to bigger city offerings, especially when ordering sushi. Families and groups find something for everyone here, with dishes that range from ramen and soba noodle soups to tempura and teriyaki plates. Service is generally straightforward and efficient, making it a good pick for weekday lunches or relaxed weekend dinners.

Visitors looking for a lively dinner with a bit of showmanship will find the hibachi tables a draw, especially for groups or family outings. Conversely, sushi lovers with an eye for quality and variety will find the sushi menu rewarding at any time of day. The restaurant’s central location on SW 3rd Street makes it accessible, nestled within Corvallis’ downtown rhythm.

The sushi are delicious, but they change the recipe for calamari and it’s not good. Taste like an onion ring. I don’t recommend it. I recommend the Corvallis, tuna, spicy salmon are delicious. Prices are great. We are from Beaverton and everything is expensive. I mean 30 bucks for three rolls and appetizer wow amazing

Dinner and a show. Sit at hibachi grill table to have your food prepared in front of you. Place for sushi lovers too. The price, quality, fun all add up to five stars.

Took my daughter for lunch here and let's just say this is our new favorite spot. The sushi menu is massive, prices are fair, and service was fast. I got the Alaskan roll, Corvallis roll, and Lobster roll. All were delicious and looked amazing. Only complaint is that I wish I found it sooner.

Love their bento teriyaki steak with shrimp vegetable tempura. We didn't particularly like the chicken fried rice, it tasted like it may have gone sour. Their lunch prices are pretty good and their onion soup is light. I'd come back again.

Great value and excellent service. The ramen and the sushi were both excellent, and all ages enjoyed their order.

Pretty good experience every time and food is great for the cost! Service is pretty quick for me usually but would like more communication and friendlier service. I'd reccomend coming here in groups. They not only have sushi but other platters as well. The bento lunch boxes are my go-to dish! Its really pretty when they serve the bento box dish, as can be seen in the photo below! I've noticed that photos of the full menu hasn't been posted so I wanted to post here.
